Malvern Day Nursery is a small, family-based centre in Glen Iris that provides long day care for children aged 0-6. We are looking for a cook on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (9am-1pm) to prepare us nutritious and delicious meals for just 29 children a day!

The role requires:

Lunch preparation (freedom over the menu)
Afternoon Tea preparation
Completing dishes between meals
Supporting the program of our educators with some cooking experiences with the children.

Ideal Applicants will have:

A current food handling certificate
Commercial cookery experience or qualification
An understanding of compliance and auditory reports
Valid working with Children Check (or be willing to get one)
Dedicated Attitude

In return we can offer:

Weekly routine shifts on Wednesday 9am-1pm (or negotiated 4 hour time range e.g. 8:30am-12:30pm to fit your schedule)
$25-$35 per hour
Flexible cooking menu
Above award rate pay
Located within walking distance of tram and bus stops
