About the Role
You will inspire the next generation by engaging them in meaningful STEM activities that bring out their best. You will be working as part of a growing team to develop, promote, and deliver activities using contemporary technologies such as robotics, coding, virtual reality, and 3D printing.
These workshops are conducted during school hours, after-school, on weekends, and during school holidays. You may also have the opportunity to work from home and conduct online workshops via Zoom.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate workshops with school age children using LEGO® Educational and other resources. This includes leading children to the nominated classroom, supervision of children, and administering first aid if required.
- Deliver workshops during school time and provide teacher training.
- Transport, store, charge, clean, and safeguard workshop resources.
- Develop workshop programs and provide feedback from students and parents.
- Promote workshops to current and new customers.
- Promote safe work environment and follow operational guidelines.
- Identify, remove, reduce and report risks and hazards as well as report all incidents.
- Communicate with parents and other staff as required.
- Carry out formal assessments of students and develop term reports.
- Provide written/verbal updates to parents from workshops.
Skills and Experience
- Comfortable and confident with technology.
- Background or interest in teaching, engineering, science, robotics, coding or similar; or ability to learn and pick up these concepts quickly.
- Previous experience with Robotics and Coding will be looked upon favourably.
- Reliable, professional, and your own transport is preferred.
- Available on some weekdays between the hours of 3 - 5 PM and weekends.
- Must have or willing to obtain First Aid and Working with Children Check.
- The role may suit a technology teacher looking for additional work, stay at home mum looking for flexible hours or confident university students studying teaching, engineering or similar.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $24.00 – $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 14 per week
