About the role:
Council is seeking an application from an enthusiastic, experienced and suitably qualified person to join our team as a permanent part time Early Childhood Educator for 21 hours and 45 minutes per week across 3 days.
Joining our Wedderburn kindergarten, you will work cooperatively with the highly experienced teacher to assist with the provision of a high quality educational program for 3-6 year old children. Kindergarten sessions are half day sessions from 8:45 -1:45pm Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays. Wedderburn Kindergarten is a single unit kindergarten with a large outdoor natural play space.
About you:
The successful candidate will have:
- experience working with young children.
- ability to work in a small team.
- ability to communicate with children and parents.
- current certificates in first aid and the management of asthma and management of anaphylaxis.
- current working with children check and a willingness to undergo a police records check, which demonstrates suitability for employment in a children’s service
- have obtained a minimum Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care or a primary teacher qualification .
