Now, three months post-launch, we seek a dynamic Marketing Communications Manager to drive our marketing and communications initiatives.
Position Overview:
The Marketing Communications Manager will deliver our PR strategy, orchestrate our public relations efforts, and oversee the relationships with the press. Central to the role is the support and execution of Prophet's overarching marketing and communications strategy, which includes managing comprehensive marketing campaigns, overseeing content planning, and leading our organic social media initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in PR management and broad marketing experience, highlighted by creative copywriting, adept marketing project management, and robust stakeholder engagement skills. Experience in the dynamic environment of a small business or startup, particularly within the SaaS, tech, predictive analytics or a related sector, is crucial for effectively delivering our PR strategy.
What to expect in your role:
- Support the development and execution of Prophet's marketing communications strategy to boost the brand's presence.
- Lead the communications, PR, marketing campaigns, and events lifecycle, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and brand consistency.
- Oversee and manage all media relationships, ensuring a continuous approach to earned media through key opinion leaders' announcements, news-jacking, and thought leadership contributions.
- Oversee content strategy and production across various channels, ensuring messaging resonates with the target audience.
- Manage briefs and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule.
- Direct our organic social media strategy to engage our audience and increase our digital footprint.
- Utilise exceptional copywriting skills to create compelling content that converts.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including presenting to and engaging with the executive team, to align marketing strategies with business goals.
- Support the Chief Commercial Officer and the wider team in fostering an environment of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
The experience you will bring:
- 5+ years of proven experience in marketing communications, emphasising PR, campaign management, and content creation.
- B2B background, particularly in a small business or startup within the SaaS, tech, or a related sector.
- Excellent proven relationships with the press, especially trade marketing and technology press
- Exceptional copywriting abilities, evidenced by a portfolio of compelling marketing materials.
- Demonstrated skill in engaging and managing stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership interactions.
- A deep interest in analytics, predictive intelligence, and AI, coupled with an understanding of the evolving marketing landscape, especially in a cookieless context.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
