The Opportunity
As Ericoms People and Culture Coordinator, you will be an essential member of the small but mighty People and Culture Team, head-quartered in Wollongong, NSW, supporting the broader business across Australia. This role can base in Wollongong, NSW OR Melbourne, Victoria. This role will be Tuesday to Friday, with a 50/50 split between WFH and in-office.
Our People and Culture Coordinator will support the People and Culture Manager by;
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Coordinating the end-to-end recruitment process, including job advertisements, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and conducting new hire Onboarding sessions.
- Employee Relations: Assist in handling employee enquiries, resolving issues, regulating the in-house HR Info-Bot and providing concise assistance to employment queries.
- HR Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee lifecycle records, process HR documentation, and HRIS management.
- Training and Development: Support the coordination and planning or training and development initiatives across the business, supporting both mandatory industry training requirements and professional development initiatives across all departments of the company.
In this role, you will answer employee queries, contract requests and manage in-house and external training coordination – and you might also join an event planning meeting, attend a lunchtime Personal Training session, and tackle some HRIS management at the end of the day. Each week you will support the People and Culture Manager with HR related projects and monthly reporting, ad-hoc audits, and board reporting. This key role will also work closely with the Payroll Manager.
You will be our expert for all first point of contact HRIS queries. You’ll develop strong relationships across the business, understanding the needs and preferences of our internal stakeholders, and being a reliable advisor where needed. You will manage the HR ticketing system, ensuring the People and Culture team can continue to provide the best possible service to the business in a timely manner. To thrive in this role;
- Demonstrated experience within a human resources admin or coordinator role.
- Big on communication; written, verbal and non-verbal.
- Comfortable with multitasking and can do so proficiently
- Excellent administration skills
- Master Triage - expert time management and organisation are a must
- MUST be conversant with the Fair Work Act, NES and comfortable with Award and Agreement interpretation and how these apply to the employment landscape practically
- Technologically confident and can learn new systems with ease.
- A strong focus on internal client service
- An annoyingly high level of attention to detail
- Bachelor of Business (HRM) or working towards a Human Resources related qualification is highly desirable but not essential
- Confident, approachable, with a shining sense of humour and a desire to grow professionally
