Volunteer opportunities include supporting our allied health therapy teams working with children and adults, supporting our Lifestyles, sports and accommodation clients, or gaining experience in our corporate services.
Details of the role:
We understand that children and adults with cerebral palsy and similar conditions can find visiting a regular dentist challenging. Run by volunteer dentists, our clinic has specialised equipment uniquely designed to treat people with cerebral palsy and similar disabilities, providing more comfort and access than regular dental clinics. The clinic normally runs 2 or 3 mornings each week, typically on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday however days can vary depending on the availability of our volunteer dentists.

Dates & Times:
Our volunteer dentists are usually rostered on for half day morning clinics throughout the year, typically run on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Our Dental Clinic Manager will work with you to schedule flexible days and times that suit your current work commitments. You can choose how many clinics to attend each year.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Offering clients of Cerebral Palsy Alliance your professional services as a dentist and completing all necessary documentation and reports as required.
Essential requirements:

Current AHPRA (dental practitioner) registration

Current dentistry certification/qualification

NDIS Worker Screening check
-
Working with Children Check (NSW)
-
Excellent chairside manner and great communication skills

At least 12 months experience working in a dental clinic

Experience working with people with a disability desirable
