Additional Information:
- This role is Permanent Part-time, 40hrs/fortnight.
- The shift times required to work will be spread between 9:00am to 9:30pm
- As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
RECRUITMENT PROCESS AND KEY DATES
- We require adequate availability, without holidays booked, during the peak trading period (from mid-October to March) for this position.

About this work area As Sales Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Be an IKEA Ambassador by understanding that you impact our customer’s experience by being able to offer solutions and answer questions that relate to their kitchen and home furnishing needs.
- Actively approach customers to identify their needs by asking insightful questions and advising them on the best kitchen solutions for them.
- Supporting customers with their kitchen design process using our in-house 3D rendering software and product catalogue. You will build strong relationships with the customer throughout their planning journey.
- Following up on customers after initial planning appointments, via phone call to discuss their kitchen designs, answer questions, and address any concerns.
- Responsible for ensuring that the sales area is stocked, presentable, attractively merchandised and correctly priced.
- Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Stay knowledgeable about in-store specials, delivery options, product features and benefits.
As Sales Co-worker you are or have:
- A passion for our home furnishing products and working with customers.
- Ability to liaise confidently with existing and new customers via phone calls, emails, and face to face interactions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to connect with others, you are able to understand the customer's needs and the ability to build strong relationships.
- A ‘Togetherness’ mindset where you’ll work closely with your team and other departments yet also be able to work autonomously with a strong problem-solving attitude.
- Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA product range.
- A safe mindset and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive movements and lifting.
- Prior Design Consultant and Sales experience is preferred for this role, but not essential if you have the right passion, willingness and ability to learn!
