We are currently seeking an Accredited Exercise Physiologist to join our team.
Foundation Allied Health, located in the beautiful Blue Mountains NSW, has it's own large quality gym space with all the best functional training equipment.
It is an exciting position and a great opportunity to learn and gain experience. There is a variety of clients including sports or workplace injury, chronic health and NDIS participants.

Requirements:
- ESSA-accredited Exercise Physiologist
- Currently, or able to obtain, relevant provider numbers
- Hold own Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance (if sub-contracting)
- Current CPR & First Aid certification
- Demonstrated ability to work within the code of conduct and ethical principles as outlined by ESSA
- Working with Children Check, and National Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Check.
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised, but also within a team.
- Effective communication, time management, and organisation.
- Passionate about building rapport with clients.
- Professional written, oral and verbal communication skills, including computer literacy.
- Experience using Halaxy and Physitrack software an advantage, or willing to learn.
- Current NSW driver’s licence.
Desirable, but not essential:
- Accredited and current practicing experience in the field of Exercise Physiology.
- Accredited with State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA)
- Beat It certified trainer with Diabetes NSW & ACT
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing Exercise Physiology assessments, consultations, and group sessions for a variety of clients with chronic illness, disability or health related issues.
- Prescribe and provide individualised exercise prescription, including modifying as required.
- Counsel and educate client to meet fitness and treatment plan goals.
- Recommend, instruct and monitor use of exercise equipment by client.
- Maintain accurate records for all client interventions, including assessments, treatment and evaluation.
Remuneration:
The position is sub-contract consisting of approximately 20 hours per week, including paid travel, report writing and cancellations. Opportunity also exists to increase these hours. The successful candidate will be paid an above award hourly rate of between $55/hour and $65/hour (including GST), depending on qualifications and experience. Part-time or Casual employment can also be negotiated.
