The churches of Christ in NSW & ACT is seeking a dedicated Communications Content Manager to join our Network Resource Team and play a key role in amplifying the voices and stories within our network of churches.

Churches of Christ in NSW & ACT is a vibrant and diverse network of churches across New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. As the Network Resource Team, our mission is to foster collaboration, celebrate our churches’ shared ethos, and support our churches in their individual and combined work as spiritual communities.
YOUR ROLE
As our Communications Content Manager, you will be the heartbeat of our storytelling efforts, connecting with pastors, leaders, and other ministering persons to enhance their engagement and visibility across our network. Your creativity and strategic vision will help us shine a spotlight on the incredible work happening within the communities of our network, while growing our capacity as a team to resource our network’s communication needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Church Relationships and Engagement
Foster meaningful connections with pastors and leaders, enabling them to share their stories and enhance engagement across our network.
Collaborate with communication teams from our related entities: Fresh Hope Communities, Global Mission Partners, and the Australian College of Ministry to create cohesive content.
Network Communications Team
Support the Network Communications team leader in advocating our values, developing our content and team systems, and supporting our Network Resource Team in their work with out churches.
Participate in team meetings and ensure effective communication systems are in place.
Content Management
Produce a monthly digital newsletter, and oversee the creation of engaging stories and social media content.
Manage social media strategies, content scheduling, and direct email campaigns.
Content Development
Develop high-quality content for digital and print platforms; including interviews, articles, magazines, and video scripts.
Produce content in collaboration with graphic and video specialists for projects, campaigns, and events.
Collaborate with a content writer and other team members to create compelling content that highlights the unity and diversity of our network.
Quality Improvement
Adhere to organisational policies and suggest improvements to processes and work instructions.
Workplace Health and Safety
Follow safety practices, report incidents, and participate in Return-to-Work Programs if necessary.
Mission & Ethos Alignment
Ensure all projects align with our mission and values, and actively participate in strategic planning discussions
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Experience: 3-5 years in communications, editorial, marketing, journalism, or related fields, preferably within a Christian organisation or ministry context.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MailChimp, WordPress, and Adobe Creative Suite (desirable). Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
Attributes: Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder needs, adapt to change, and work within a Christian ethos. A current NSW Driver’s License is required.
