Are you a marketing professional with a passion for events? We’re on the hunt for our newest Bright Human to join the team and help spread the word far and wide about key projects we are delivering including the Something Digital, Something Fest and the Brisbane Portrait Prize.
This is a part-time role (3-4 days per week) commencing in November 2024.

About The Role
This role will have a primary focus on Something Digital (part of Something Fest) which runs as a 5 day festival each year. You will also be working on the Brisbane Portrait Prize which peaks with the finalists exhibition running between September and November.
Working closely with our founders, you will be involved in tasks such as:
- Executing the Something Digital and Something Fest marketing strategy inc: email campaigns, website management, social media strategy and execution, PPC advertising + any other creative ideas we come up with
- Designing and executing campaigns to deliver targeted results (i.e. paid event attendees)
- Social media and email marketing management for the Brisbane Portrait Prize
- Onsite assistance for all our events
About You
We are looking for a marketing generalist ideally with 2-3 years experience and the following skills:
- Familiarity with email marketing
- Comfortable using design tools to create imagery for web/socials/emails. Either Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Canva
- Experience with WordPress for website management
- Some experience with PPC advertising (primarily Google Adwords + LinkedIn)
- Able to interpret data and results (qualitative and quantitative) and use these real time to inform and pivot the marketing strategy
- A good flair for writing and eye for design

We are a small company with an all hands on deck approach, which means that everyone needs to pitch in and help with all tasks. Sense of humour and ability to work with a close-knit team is essential too!

Role Type: Part time, 3-4 days per week (though please chat to us if you need something slightly different).
Start: November 2024
- Location: Based in the cafe precinct of Teneriffe. We tend to spend Tue-Thu in the office and WFH Mon + Fri. This role would best suit someone who is able to do the Tue-Thu in the office.
