The opportunity
An exciting new opportunity to join our thriving community health care organisation and work within a truly supportive and valued based culture and engaged workforce as the Community Engagement Coordinator at Trentwood at the Hub. We are seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator star to work closely with the Neighbourhood House Coordinator to develop the community house as a welcoming and inclusive space that provides programs and events to meet the needs of the local community and encourage community participation.
About the role
This position will play a key role in developing and promoting an interesting and engaging program of activities and events that appeal to the local community and encourage community participation and inclusion. The role will work closely with the Community House Coordinator to develop promotional and advertising material including term brochures, website updates and social media posts.
What you will be doing
- Support the Neighbourhood House Coordinator to ensure the successful delivery of the Neighbourhood House programs and the day-to-day operations
- Develop a program of events and workshops that complement the day-to-day program of activities and respond to identified need within the community
- Identify and apply for grants that support the delivery of new and innovative activities, projects and events
- Develop and implement a marketing plan for the community house using print and social media
What you will bring
Key Selection Criteria
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an administrative role at a community organisation or a tertiary qualification in community development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong marketing and/or promotions experience including social media
- Well-developed presentation and report writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications
