About the role:
This role is based at our Wallsend campus and will involve travel across the Greater Newcastle and Port Stephens areas. You will be responsible for supporting clinicians who work with clients (primarily aged 65 and over) requiring equipment and home modifications to assist them to live safely and independently in their homes. You will also work closely with clients who have palliative or life limiting diagnoses under the direction of the Occupational Therapist and the extended palliative care team.
To aid your success in this role, on the job training and support will be offered, as well as regular performance reviews and the development of learning goals. Clinical supervision is also offered as part of this role.
Where you’ll be working:
Our Wallsend Campus is conveniently located in Newcastle NSW and is a short drive to both the Newcastle CBD and the City of Lake Macquarie. You will join a team of friendly and supportive experienced community Occupational Therapists and a fantastic Allied Health Assistant.

We are looking for someone who is professional, hard-working and empathetic. A passion for helping people is essential, as is sensitivity in terms of working with clients (and their families) at end of life.

- To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport.
