About the role: We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the above unit for a highly motivated allied health assistant with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. The Chronic and Complex Care (CCC) Allied Health Assistant (AHA) will be expected to provide assistance and support in the delivery of Allied Health services to patients under the CCC service, such as assisting client with their exercise programs. This will be in the form of delegated patient care as instructed by an allied health professional as well as clinical and administrative support. The AHA will work under the direct supervision and guidance of an allied health professional.
The Allied Health services that exist within CCC include Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Dietetics and Social Work. The successful applicant will work 16 hours across the week, Monday-Friday only and assist patients in their own homes and in our clinics on site.

Selection Criteria
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
2. Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance/Relevant qualification (see framework) or willingness to undertake this training.
3. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
4. Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
5. Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required) as delegated by supervising Allied Health Professional (AHP)
6. Demonstrated computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and email applications.
7. Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and principles.
8. Current licence to drive in NSW.
