About The Role
We are seeking a
Learning and Development Advisor (Capability Development) to join the Learning and Development team at our Juniper Central office in Balcatta on a part-time basis covering maternity leave for 12 months.
In this role you will design, coordinate, and implement career pathway development initiatives, leadership programs, and capability development strategies that support working planning, aligned to the Capability Framework. This position plays a pivotal role in fostering internal capability, facilitating learning and development programs, and aligning workforce initiatives with the broader strategic goals of the organisation.
This is a part-time role working 30 hours per week during business hours. Work is primarily at Juniper Central in Balcatta with some travel to metropolitan sites as required. The role is being offered on a fixed term 12 month basis as maternity leave cover with an anticipated commencement date in early January 2025.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with L&D Manager and leadership teams to assess current and future workforce learning and development needs
- Develop strategies to address skill gaps and workforce shortages through structured career pathways and skills development
- Facilitate education programs within portfolio, including Juniper induction
- Support employees in identifying and pursuing personalised career pathways
- Facilitate access to accredited courses and professional development modules in collaboration with educational partners
- Coordinate mentorship and coaching programs to guide employees through their career progression
- Lead development, implementation, and ongoing management of leadership programs including emerging leader program
- Design and manage a comprehensive L&D curriculum, including workshops, online learning, and accredited training programs
- Act as a liaison between employees, management, and training providers to ensure effective communication and program delivery
Key Requirements
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment – essential
- Tertiary qualification in a related field – desirable
- Strong knowledge of career pathway development and leadership program management
- Familiarity with industry-accredited training programs, particularly in collaboration with educational institutions like AMA or Amana Living Training Institute
- Proven experience in workforce planning, L&D, or capability development
- Experience working within the healthcare and/or aged care sectors
- Project management and coordination skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach
- A passion for employee development and capability building
- Ability to manage multiple programs and projects simultaneously
- Strategic and innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Current Australian driver’s licence - essential
