Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.
Join our fantastic small team of Occupational Therapists to manage a clinical caseload and drive professional growth in a supportive and multidisciplinary environment. Your role as the Occupational Therapist will provide a high-quality Occupational Therapy (OT) service to clients and carers to ensure optimal health outcomes for the clients of the service.
As the successful incumbent, you will be expected to maintain daily activity reporting in the designated system for the service and work within risk management, safety, infection control and quality frameworks applicable to the organisation. This assignment may require you to work in a variety of Hawkesbury District Hospital clinical areas to meet service demands and/or within a rotation roster pattern within the OT Department.

What you will bring to the role:
- Current registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board AHPRA, and current class C NSW drivers licence or equivalent.
- Demonstrated clinical experience and ability to provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention in a variety of clinical areas including acute inpatient setting (Medical / Surgical / Aged Care) and sub-acute rehabilitation setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, including ability to manage routine clinical matters with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication with consumers, teams and agencies, with experience in clinical documentation, formal reporting and clinical handover.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated high level of effective organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrated experience in the use of relevant evidence based practice resources to guide decision- making and commitment to quality improvement.
