Role Description/Criteria
STEAM Teacher
Holy Cross Primary School is a vibrant and inclusive learning community dedicated to nurturing creativity, innovation, and a love for learning. Located in New Gisborne, our school is committed to providing a holistic education that prepares students for the challenges of the 21st century.
As part of our dynamic teaching team, you will play a vital role in integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) across our curriculum to inspire curiosity and a passion for discovery in our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver dynamic STEAM lessons that align with the Victorian Curriculum and cater to diverse learning needs.
- Incorporate our school garden into lessons where applicable.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and technologies to engage and inspire students.
- Facilitate project-based learning, robotics, coding, and other innovative activities.
- Assess and report on student progress, providing feedback to support growth.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages creativity, teamwork, and a love of learning.
About You:
The successful candidate will be a passionate educator with:
- A teaching qualification and current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in teaching STEAM subjects.
- Strong knowledge of emerging technologies and how they can be applied in education.
- A commitment to creating engaging and inclusive learning environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A willingness to contribute to the school community.
