Childcare Lead Educator | Durack Heights
Journey Early Learning is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced Lead Educator to join our Durack Heights team in supporting the planning, implementing, and evaluating programs, for all children.
Centre Overview:
Our newer, purpose-built 66 place centre is a place where children aged from six weeks to six years can make a positive start to a life of learning, development, growth and opportunity. We are located on Packard Avenue, Durack, with modern indoor and outdoor play environments that support learning in a stimulating, play-focused setting.
Engaging with the wider community, our centre is involved in weekly incursions that promote new and enriching experiences. Our supportive and collaborative team love to celebrate achievements with monthly morning-teas and lunches. We also offer a yearly roster with specific set shifts.

About the role:
This is a Permanent part-time opportunity across Monday to Friday.
As our new Lead Educator, you will be responsible for the development and fostering of meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the community. You will support and guide children’s learning, while developing your own career and knowledge within the childcare sector. As an Educator with Journey Early Learning, you will be supported by your Centre Leadership Team, as you learn the fundamental skills of being an inspired Educator within the Journey family.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times
Design and implement learning experiences to be included in children's developmental program.
Assisting in the observation and evaluation of children's individual strengths, interests and preferences
Guide and support your team, ensuring a collaborative teaching, and interactive learning environment
About you:
You are creative and inspired early childhood educator with a passion to lead and develop age specific programs and daily routines. You will be a collaborative member of the team, working to build strong relationships with educators, children, and families.
Key skills and requirements:
An ACECQA recognised Certificate III or higher
Experience leading and developing age specific programs and routines
An approved Working with Children Check – OCHRE Card
Current Asthma, Anaphylaxis and First Aid Certificates
