We work collaboratively across various business operations to implement and enhance the Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS), ensuring both physical and psychological well-being for all employees. At the heart of our mission is a focus on continuous improvement, stakeholder engagement, and proactive safety measures.
As a Safety and Wellbeing Officer, you will play a key role in the ongoing development and delivery of the OHSMS. You will support a wide range of safety initiatives, including workers' compensation programs, general insurance administration, and safety audits. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact on health and safety outcomes, supporting employees across various teams and functions.
What You'll Do
- Provide up-to-date advice on OHSMS development and implementation
- Support stakeholders with risk assessments, safety documentation, and safety initiatives
- Assist in incident investigations and compliance monitoring
- Aid with the administration of workers' compensation and general insurance matters
- Provide hands-on support and guidance to employees, including those in the field
- Help stakeholders engage in safety inspections, audits, and meetings
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of OHS systems and processes
What We Are Looking For
- Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety (or willingness to obtain it)
- Strong knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 and related regulations
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
- Proficiency in computer programs and data entry for OHS reporting
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to safety
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team
