About The Role
We are currently seeking Multi-Skilled Carers to join our care team at a well-established facility offering beds all with ensuites. Our homely atmosphere provides comfort to residents, including those living with dementia who require specialised support. We are committed to delivering high-quality care and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff.
As a Multiskilled Carer, you will work closely with residents to support their daily living, social, and emotional needs. In this role, you will share responsibility for the well-being of residents, providing person-centred care and enhancing their quality of life by ensuring they feel welcome and respected at all times.
Part time and casual opportunities available.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care needs like bathing, dental hygiene, dressing, grooming, and other personal care
- Support residents in maintaining or restoring their independence by assisting with activities of interest and mobility aids as needed
- Complete accurate and timely documentation, reporting relevant information to Nursing, Allied Health, and Management as required
- Maintain effective workplace communication, demonstrating respect, openness to change, and kindness
- Assist with medication administration in accordance with facility policies
Key Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care (desirable)
- Experience working within an aged care setting as a carer
- Ability to relate to elderly customers with empathy and collaborate effectively with health professionals, service providers, and case managers
- Ability to interpret individual care plans and provide tailored care to meet individual goals
- Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills
- Understanding of cognitive strategies, social interaction, and meeting the mental and emotional health needs of residents
