About This Opportunity
The Queensland Digital Health Centre (QDHeC), part of the Centre for Health Services Research, is a multidisciplinary team driving digital transformation in healthcare. Collaborating with Queensland Health, researchers, and industry, QDHeC enhances patient care by optimising digital workflows, leveraging data and analytics, and developing innovative care models.
We are seeking a Principal Communications and Engagement Manager to lead communication and engagement activities that elevate QDHeC's profile as a leading digital health research centre.
Key responsibilities will include: (Maximum 3-4 points)
- Collaborate with the Deputy Director Operations to develop and implement the Centre’s Marketing and Communication plan, aligning with strategic priorities.
- Promote Centre research to enhance recognition of academic contributions, leveraging appropriate channels to build the profile of the Centre and its researchers.
- Manage communication efforts with industry partners, institutional stakeholders, and QDHeC’s Consumer Advisory Committee.
- Support Centre communication activities by producing and scheduling content across media, print, web, and social media platforms.

About You
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience in communication or related discipline.
- Strong knowledge in contemporary communication practices, as demonstrated through recent work experience and a track record of successful delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering professional services within the university sector or alternatively within another large, complex and/or regulated organisational environment.
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders in the translation of business objectives into communication activities. Experience in working within a professional services team environment.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia and mandatory immunisations.
