What You Will Be Doing
The Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant (AHA) will competently provide intervention for outpatients requiring Physiotherapy services. This role requires working with a person-centred approach to provide efficient and safe patient care within a defined scope of practice. The role will involve supporting group and individual exercise programs for orthopaedic outpatients and assisting with inpatient patient care when required. The role performs administrative and other support functions within the physiotherapy department, including maintaining equipment stock, ordering and equipment cleaning.
The AHA will provide supervision and mentoring to other AHA staff as appropriate and will assume teaching responsibilities for AHA students.

What You Need
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
- Experience supporting group exercise programs
- A sound understanding of scope of practice in an acute outpatient and inpatient setting
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated competence with IT systems

- Please refer to salary circular for Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021 – 2026 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
