We're on the lookout for a rockstar Purchasing Officer to join our fun and dynamic team at our Banyo Head Office. This role isn't just about paperwork – it's about making things happen and being part of something bigger.
This is a part-time position in office during school hours (Mon-Fri 5 hours a day).
The Role
Working alongside our Purchasing Manager, the role will be responsible for helping to ensure that the business is holding the correct amount of stock to meet the demands of our customers, avoid out of stocks and assist in ensuring products are compliant with relevant industry requirements.
This role will also work closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Warehouse teams to ensure that on hand stock levels and forecast purchases are aligned well with planned business operations.
Responsibilities
• Assist with weekly stock transfers to our two interstate warehouse partners and a second offsite warehouse, including determining the relevant stock quantities to transfer
• Basic Stock Control procedures- working alongside Customer Service, Warehouse, and Marketing. Tasks include Goods Receipting and Product Coding
• Assist with the co-ordination of promotional pack build schedules each month
• Stock Analysis across three brands and multiple product ranges
• Placement of purchase orders, liaising with suppliers and maintaining appropriate lead times
• Managing the rollout of product range repacks - managing new stock coming in and timing the run out of old stock
• Discuss any stock issues that may arise directly with suppliers
• Email weekly out of stock reports to sales team and staff
• Maintain regular communication with shipping companies regarding inbound stock from overseas suppliers into Brisbane
• Liaise with the warehouse team regarding expected deliveries of stock and quantities expected. Ensure ERP system reflects accurate inbound product quantities to assist with this.
• Work closely with the warehouse team to refine and improve efficiencies and capabilities for stock holding and distribution purposes
• Develop supplier relationships to support the information flow between the supplier and Hairjamm
• Work with Purchasing Manager to minimise overstocks and removal of obsolete/redundant stock
• Work with the manufacturers, the product development team, and external regulatory consultants to ensure delivered goods are compliant with relevant industry requirements
About You
Required Skills: Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills to analyse stock levels against internal sales forecasts.
Required Skills: Team focussed approach and willingness to assist in all areas to support overall team performance.
Whilst experience is not essential for this role, any experience in a purchasing/inventory/supply chain role or experience using AttacheBI and Phocas will be looked upon very favourably.
