Are you ready to make a difference and play a key role in a charity passionate about inspiring, engaging and equipping young people to be their best self? Join us at Blue Light Victoria (BLV) as our new Business Development and Engagement Officer.
In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for building strong relationships with schools across Victoria, selling our impactful programs, and helping us expand our reach.
About this Role
We’re looking for an energetic individual who will:-
- Drive sales of our school programs so that more young people across Victoria can benefit from their positive impact.
- Build strong relationships, establishing trusted partnerships with school stakeholders and securing repeat business.
- Use cold colling, school visits, presentations and community activities to connect with schools and other relevant stakeholders.
- Meet sales and growth KPI’s, providing regular reports as to success.
- Work collaboratively with key members of the BLV team.
Who are We
BLV delivers programs to young people across the state, building resilience and wellbeing by encouraging healthy and safe choices.
Established in 1976, we have long been known for our popular discos, often considered a rite of passage. However, we are much more than discos! We support young people at risk of disengaging from school, their community, or family, as well as those at risk of contact with the criminal justice system. Through a variety of evidence based and impactful programs we increase connection, mental and physical wellbeing, and empowerment.
As one of the only youth organisations partnering with police and emergency services, we provide young people with unique one-of-a-kind learning experiences not offered by other youth programs. These relationships allow young people to be connected to their local communities and learn from positive role models. Each year, our work reaches more than 14,000 across the state.
We love working with young people and have well developed programs for both primary and secondary schools that work! We want more young people to be able to experience the positive impact of these programs.

About you
- You have proven experience in sales, networking and relationship building.
- You have a track record of successful sales and engagement approaches.
- Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to present confidently to stakeholders.
- Motivated to work independently but also thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- A passion for the work of Blue Light Victoria.
This role is Part time (2 or 3 days per week)
$85 – 90K per year - pro rata
