About Your Role
The Allied Health Professional is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, providing quality services to patients/clients of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) in order to meet their health and well-being needs. Dietitians are Allied Health Professionals who contribute to the promotion of health and the prevention and treatment of illness by optimising the nutrition of populations, communities and individuals.
Dietitians apply the science of human nutrition to help people understand the relationship between food and health. This supports them to make choices to attain and maintain health, and to prevent and treat illness and disease. Dietitians provide a comprehensive range of nutrition services including inpatients, outpatients, ambulatory care and community across the MLHD.
