- Salary: $121,537 - $126,970 (pro rata) - RN/RM3; $128,327 - $133,758 (pro rata) - RN/RM4 - Temp P/T (30.4 hrs p/wk, up to 30 June 2025)

Overview
Using your clinical knowledge and experience, you will support, lead and provide expert clinical care to improve and optimise nursing care for Palliative Clients in the Mount Barker community. You will provide expert nursing assessment and advice to achieve high quality palliative nursing care within a risk management framework. This will include supporting community and allied health staff to develop appropriate care plans. You will operate with a significant degree of independent clinical decision making in the area of Palliative Care Management, and ensure effective complex discharge planning and hospital avoidance through the provision of education, equipment and referral. You will accept accountability for your nursing practice, the outcomes of nursing practices for palliative care patients, the professional advice given, delegations of care made, and for addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy.
You will need to be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With demonstrated competence in Palliative Care management in accordance with the relevant standards of practice, you will bring the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. You will have prior experience in the leadership and supervision of students, Enrolled Nurses and less experienced Registered Nurses, demonstrating highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation. With a strong commitment to person-centred care, you will have proven ability for flexibility, innovation and creativity within the palliative care setting.
