Role Description
The Marketing and Communications Specialist plays a key role in expanding our reach and impact through the delivery of engaging content and experiences. Responsibilities include managing the execution of our marketing and communications activity across brand and product. The role is also responsible for managing our owned channels including social media, website and email, and creating and editing content using content management systems (Wordpress) and email marketing software (HubSpot). The role also supports the delivery of our brand building activity, including PR, sponsorships and events, promoting relationships with our key partners, and ensuring brand consistency across each touch point.

Duties and responsibilities
Communications:
Efficiently managing the development and timely execution of a variety of communications across multiple channels
- Regular communications including the newsletter, Linkedin posts and blog posts
- Timely management of our key communications channels including the website, social media, and email
- Content management – working with key stakeholders in the business to create engaging content and thought leadership pieces and deliver the strategy
- Managing content updates and optimising the website including adding or removing content and applying UX principles, using Wordpress CMS
- Collaborating with our agency partners including brand and design agencies to optimise our deliverables
Marketing and campaigns
Proficiently working with the broader team to support their activities
- Creating collateral including brochures, pitch decks, presentations, flyers, fact sheets
- Creating EDMs to send to leads and clients using email software HubSpot
- Timely tracking and reporting of leads
- Diligently delivering marketing strategies and delivering paid campaigns when required
Brand management
Providing adequate support in all activities to grow and strengthen the Nimo brand
- Proactively supporting PR and media opportunities for company announcements and thought leadership
- Consistently managing the brand identity and ensuring all touchpoints are on brand
Sponsorships and events
Managing sponsorships and events
- Collaborating with our partners and working to achieve best outcomes
- Efficiently organising logistics for events including booking conference stands, organizing furniture, ordering merchandise and other requirements of the events
- Creating event related collateral and communications for successful execution of events
Platform communications
Support the Nimo platform, and in turn, Nimo lenders, with the 'marketing' and 'communications' functionality
- Collaborating with Nimo lenders on best practice use of Nimo's marketing and communications functionality
- Proactively supporting Nimo team on industry best practice relating to marketing and communications functionality and Nimo platform enhancements
Analytics and reporting
Tracking and measuring activities to ensure we can report on the success of our activities.
Experience, skills and knowledge
What do you need to be successful in this role?
- Tertiary degree in Marketing/Communications/Media
- 5 years' experience performing similar communications, brand, marketing work.
Other knowledge, skills, and behavioural qualities:
- Previous financial services experience would be highly advantageous
- Proven ability to work with key internal and external stakeholders (i.e. product team, senior management, agency partners)
- Ability to juggle competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Ability to work in a scaling business that is fast paced requiring flexibility and autonomy
- Experience with WordPress, and HubSpot is highly desirable
- A team player, and equally comfortable operating autonomously and taking ownership
- A can-do attitude!
