Key Responsibilities:
- Engage & Connect: Build and maintain strong relationships with businesses, corporate members and local governments to drive membership growth and partnerships.
- Innovate & Implement: Develop and execute strategic initiatives to secure funding and promote business development within the Wheatbelt region.
- Market Research & Insights: Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities for WBN services and enhance our business offerings.
- Representation & Networking: Represent WBN at regional events, conferences and forums, acting as a key ambassador for the organisation.
- Collaboration & Integration: Work closely with the team to deliver effective membership campaigns & organise key events.
About You:
We’re looking for a proactive individual with excellent communication and relationship-building skills who thrives in an autonomous work environment. You’ll be passionate about supporting local businesses and possess a strategic mindset.
The ideal candidate should be:
- Experience: Experienced in business development, sales or partnerships, ideally within the non-profit or corporate sectors. (Desirable but not required)
- Targets: Able to achieve and exceed sales or membership targets while building meaningful, long-term business relationships. (Desirable but not required)
- Skills: Equipped with strong negotiation, presentation and networking skills. (Desirable but not required)
- Regional Expertise: Familiar with the unique challenges and opportunities in the Wheatbelt region (Desirable but not required)
- Team-Oriented: A team player with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and contribute to a supportive, dynamic environment.
- Mobility & Flexibility: Open to regional travel and in possession of a valid driver’s license.
