About the role
Join us in this specialised role in managing lymphoedema as a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist.
In this role, you’ll be part of the team providing comprehensive treatment for patients managing lymphoedema. You’ll provide treatments to help reduce symptoms and stabilise the volume of swelling, to facilitate exercise and physical activity and to support the management of side effects of having lymphoedema.
This role is based at Orange Health Service, Cancer Services team. In this role you will be responsible for the coordination of lymphoedema care for the early intervention and prevention of chronic lymphoedema for people undergoing surgery for breast cancer.
The Senior Allied Health Professional is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, providing clinical leadership and high quality services to patients/ clients of the WNSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD) in order to meet health and wellbeing needs.
You’ll work collaboratively with a team that consists of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, haematologists, oncology registered nurses, oncology allied health and palliative care. In a collaborative, close knit team you will be well supported and your dedication will be seen and appreciated. You will be an integral member of the community where you’ll see the results of your care, build client relationships and see the appreciation of the community for the role you play in their health.
