Job Title: Social Media Manager/Content Creator with Photography Skills

Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented Social Media Manager/Content Creator with photography skills to develop and execute our social media strategy. The ideal candidate will be a creative individual with a strong understanding of social media platforms, excellent photography skills, and experience in creating engaging content. This person will be responsible for managing multiple social media platforms, creating high-quality content, and maintaining a consistent brand voice across all channels.
The ideal candidate needs to be comfortable showing face on our social media channels and essentially being the co-face of the brand (on social media) alongside other employees.
Please note, Porter Green is a family based business of all women. The candidate will need to have a joyous and enthusiastic personality with a motivated and dedicated work ethic in order to be the be the right candidate for this position.
Responsibilities:
- - Develop and execute a social media strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
- - Create engaging, high-quality content for multiple social media platforms (including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn).
- - Plan and schedule content using social media management tools such as Preview.
- - Monitor and respond to comments and messages on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner whilst accurately representing the brand voice.
- - Analyze social media metrics and adjust the strategy accordingly to improve engagement and reach.
- - Collaborate with the marketing team to create campaigns that align with company goals.
- - Take high-quality photographs and videos for use in social media content and other marketing materials including website and email marketing.
- - Edit and retouch photographs using photo editing software (such as Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom).
- - Capable of learning how to onboard products onto B2B and B2C sales channels/websites, manage and monitor sales channels/websites, manage and monitor inventory, communicate with customer support to resolve issues.
Requirements:
- - High school diploma or equivalent.
- - Studied or intends to study marketing, communications, social media or a related field.
- - 1+ years of experience in social media management and content creation.
- - Excellent photography skills, with experience using photo editing software.
- - Strong writing and communication skills.
- - In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and best practices.
- - Experience using social media management tools such as Preview.
- - Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- - Strong attention to detail with great organizational skills.
- - Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- - Knowledge of basic computer operations such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- - Knowledge of graphic design and video editing is a plus.
- - Experience/Knowledge of sales is a plus.
- - Knowledge of website development is a plus.
Working Hours: Two/Three weekdays from 9am - 4pm (flexible with the potential of three to five days for the right candidate.
Salary: $25 per hour
