Greater Shepparton City Council, situated in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, is the fourth largest provincial centre in Victoria and has a well-developed economy due to its strong agricultural and irrigation base, with major industries related to food processing, manufacturing and transport. The Goulburn Valley is often referred to as 'The Food Bowl of Australia' as around 25% of the total value of Victoria's agricultural production is generated in this area.
Greater Shepparton has a population of approximately 65,000, and an expenditure budget in excess of $118 million. The population is culturally diverse with 9.9% of residents being born overseas. The area has excellent education, recreation, cultural, social and health facilities and tourism is a developing focus for the region.

Salary: $66,892.28 per annum pro rata

We are currently have a part time temporary position working Monday to Thursday within our state-of-the-art facility where you will be part of our Long Day Care program, and supporting children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
We are looking for educators who can establish strong relationships with families, respecting diversity and addressing individual cultural needs. Collaboration with parents to enhance their involvement in our program is essential.
Supported by the Greater Shepparton City Council’s Early Years Department and the 'Our Place' initiative by the Colman Education Foundation.
All applicants must hold the following qualifications / licences
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent recognised by ACECQA (or actively working towards)
- Current First Aid – HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
- Current CPR – HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Criminal History Check (valid within six months).
- Current and valid Employee Working with Children Check Card (WWCC)
- Protecting Children – Mandatory reporting and other obligations early childhood

Note: This position is subject to a 6 month qualifying period in accordance with the Fair Work Australia minimum employment period. During the qualifying period employees will be provided with appropriate on-going induction, support, assistance, resources and training to enable them to meet the required performance standards for the position.
