Located in Rockhampton, Kingsley College has seen a steady growth of students over the last five years. Founded in 1993, our college educates students with a Christian worldview, emphasising the Word of God and the Lordship of Christ in their service to the world. We currently have more than 260 students studying on campus and via distance education.
Kingsley's campus is home to our Early Learning Centre. Opened in 2022, our centre has modern built-for-purpose facilities, and we nurture and educate children aged 3-4, preparing them for school life.
Due to increasing growth and demand, Kingsley College has a new and exciting opportunity for a Early Childhood Teacher to join our Early Learning Centre team in Rockhampton, QLD.
About the Opportunity
As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will lead and supervise child-centred play while providing guidance and mentorship to Educators in training. You will supervise children playing in an outdoor area and be proactive in finding opportunities to teach through play.
The centre operates from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday. As one of our ECTs, you will join us part-time, facilitating a Kindergarten program for a group of children during term time and school holidays.
Kingsley follows the EYLF in our planning while also leveraging the surrounding environment to create inquisitive, play-based learning opportunities.

About You
You will be passionate about educating young people and supporting them to succeed in the future. We value your commitment to a collaborative approach and support for child-centred learning. To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent
- Queensland Teacher’s Registration, or the ability to obtain
- A QLD Working With Children's Check or the ability to obtain before starting
- High-level communication skills with staff, students, and families
- Strong digital literacy
- Ability to build rapport
- Passion for engaging with students on an individual level
You will have the ability to implement our Christian values and philosophy in the Early Learning Centre and other aspects of College life to foster faith and deliver positive educational outcomes for students.
You will be comfortable serving students from a range of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds; high achievers, and those with learning difficulties. You will also be able to adapt your approach to each student's needs and explain concepts in a way they will understand.
