We are now looking for an outstanding Intensive Care or Emergency Medicine Physician as a Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor to take on the role of Specialist Lead, Acute Care, within our MBBS program, on a 0.2 FTE basis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead teaching and learning initiatives, championing innovative curriculum development that integrates research, scholarship, or professional practice in the field of acute care.
- Innovate and communicate effective teaching strategies to faculty members, enhancing overall educational delivery.
- Enhance student learning experiences through proactive leadership in teaching, including peer review and mentorship.
- Contribute significantly to the elevation of teaching standards and practices, ensuring alignment with both the Australian Medical Council (AMC) Graduate Outcome Statements and Curtin University’s Graduate Attributes.
This role is critical in maintaining the integrity and excellence of the Acute Care curriculum throughout the five-year program.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Medicine with APHRA registration.
- FACEM or FCICM or equivalency.
- PhD or Doctoral qualification is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and learning, with a reflective and innovative approach.
- A track record of educational scholarship and success in securing teaching-related grants.
- Strong knowledge of pedagogical theories and contemporary educational practices.
- Proven experience in curriculum development and leadership in educational initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on cross-cultural interactions.
