Job Title: Graphic Designer / Digital Marketing Creative
This is a permanent part-time position 3-4 days a week, commencing ASAP.
Location: Ideally within 1 hour drive of either Wollongong or the Central Coast (hybrid/remote with occasional in-person collaboration/filming/editing)
Salary: $65k - $75k (pro-rata, minimum 3 days a week)

This is a brand new role, ideal for an organised & passionate creative with a shared love of rugs, interior styling, sustainability and e-commerce, who enjoys the flexibility of working remotely. You will be a natural storyteller with a flair for crafting on-brand digital content, and a desire to make a tangible impact within a dynamic, socially conscious eComm business.
We’re a growing brand seeking a passionate Graphic Designer / Digital Marketing Creative to bring our brand and marketing strategies to life. The role will work closely with the Head of Marketing, across all aspects of the consumer journey, helping to execute eCommerce strategies that support our growth ambitions.
Your mission? Create stunning communications that educate, entertain, and convert. From engaging social media assets to eye-catching product images and website banners, your work will enhance the online shopping experience, grow our brand recognition and contribute to our growth. The role is perfect for someone with a genuine love and interest in understanding how and why people view and share content online, what drives people to purchase and how to overcome objections through good design and story-telling.

What You’ll Do
- Execute content marketing strategies for email, social media, and other channels.
- Design impactful social media graphics, reels, product visuals, website banners, and other marketing assets
- Conceptualise, draft and schedule social media posts, blog posts and eDms
- Create a social media feed that is bursting with inspiring, educational and engaging content including ideation, design, copywriting, hashtags & scheduling
- Translate ideas into compelling visuals that educate, engage, and drive brand recognition and conversions.
- Edit, upload and create content in Shopify and Klaviyo
- Collaborate across marketing and digital functions to support an exceptional customer-centric experience
- Help craft and deliver communications that align with our brand vision and values.
- Contribute to the growth of our community by building awareness and educating customers.
- Boost audience interest by examining our existing social media feed, re-defining the content pillars and helping to elevate our brand positioning
- Draft and coordinate SEO focused on-site articles, lifestyle/editorial content in the form of blogs/journals, lead magnet/ebooks and brand publications (ideally you’ll have an interest in design/travel/homewares/good food & wine and/or the arts!).
- This includes copywriting for new product descriptions, email campaigns, subject lines, body copy, ad copy that gets your interest, SMS that don't annoy you, and website assets that create engagement.
Who You Are
You’re a creative and passionate digital creative with proven experience in the world of e-commerce, with a knack for storytelling and a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to craft compelling campaigns for digital platforms. You thrive in flexible, fast-paced environments, enjoy collaborating, and are ready to bring your creative expertise to a tight knit team committed to making a difference. Crucially, you’ll be driven to plan ahead and work months in advance yet understand that in eComm last minute changes happen and that’s ok too. You’ll likely be right at home using our internal systems (Slack for communicating, Trello for planning and Google Meet for meetings) and wanting to move away from freelancing into a permanent role.
What You Bring:
- Social Savvy: A strong pulse on social media trends, eCommerce strategies, and the impact of design & storytelling on engagement and conversions.
- Proven Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in graphic design, social media and e-commerce backed by formal qualifications in graphic design or visual communication.
- You will be experienced in planning/shooting/editing behind the scenes content for reels & have a repertoire of ideas on how brands can leverage trends
- BONUS POINTS: Comfortable talking on camera to help bring our brand to life and connect with our customers. Our 2025 goal is to share more about our products and our world in video format for reels, stories and Shorts.
- Creative Expertise: A portfolio that highlights effective copywriting and design for digital platforms, including:
- Short-form video (reels, stories, YouTube Shorts)
- Social media content
- Performance advertising
- Lead magnets/e-books
- Web design
- Blogs
- Email marketing
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro) as well as experience in E-Commerce Tools including Shopify, Klaviyo, and social media scheduling platforms like Meta or Later
- Storytelling Ability: You’re a natural storyteller who understands the consumer journey and translates ideas into visuals and copywriting that captivate and resonate with target audiences.
- Eye for Aesthetics: Detail-oriented with a deep appreciation for branding consistency and design trends.
- Team Player: Collaborative, but equally comfortable working independently. You’re receptive to feedback, have a growth mindset, and are eager to improve.

Selection criteria
- Demonstrated skills and experience in developing new concepts, copy and designs specifically for digital marketing/social media, in addition to rolling out existing designs, applying designs/concepts to multiple communication materials across a range of channels.
- Demonstrated capacity to draft, proof and edit content (copywriting and visuals) for promotional material such as websites, e-books/lead magnets, email marketing, publications, and other communications
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge using graphic design and video editing software (including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator) and Adobe Premiere Pro
- Demonstrated experience in e-commerce with proficiency in uploading and updating content in Shopify and Klaviyo
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to work to agreed priorities and outcomes, be responsive in changes and work independently
