This role offers the opportunity to support NDIS participants with complex communication needs (including high-tech AAC) and swallowing difficulties, as well as those experiencing complex behaviours, mental health challenges, complex trauma, and backgrounds of vulnerability.
About the Role
As a Senior Speech Pathologist at ORS, you’ll:
- Deliver high-quality services to participants with various diagnoses and disability types, focusing on complex communication (including high-tech AAC prescription), swallowing difficulties and complex behaviours
- Work across diverse settings, including family homes, schools, disability group homes, day programs, schools, preschools, community settings, telehealth, and ORS offices
- Build lasting relationships with your clients, enhancing their communication, independence, and celebrating their achievements
- Be a skilled generalist or focus into Early Childhood Services, Positive Behaviour Support, or speech pathology clinical areas within your caseload.
- Be a pivotal member of your site’s multidisciplinary team MDT
What We’re Looking For:
- Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology
- Registration with SPA
- 1–3 years of Speech Pathology experience working with NDIS participants in a clinical or community setting (preferred)
- A car and driver’s licence
- A National Police Clearance, Working with Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or able to acquire one for client-facing roles (or the willingness to obtain one before commencement)
