Position Purpose:
The NDIS Quality & Compliance Officer at Support My Way is responsible for ensuring that our organisation complies with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Quality and Safeguards Commission standards. This role involves overseeing the implementation of quality assurance processes, conducting audits, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of services to individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance frameworks and processes in line with NDIS standards.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of service delivery to ensure compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.
- Identify areas for improvement and work collaboratively with internal teams to develop and implement action plans.
- Monitor and review the effectiveness of quality assurance practices and make recommendations for enhancements.
Compliance:
- Ensure organisational compliance with NDIS regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NDIS legislative and regulatory changes and communicate relevant updates to staff.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to the Business Development Manager and other relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate and support external audits and reviews conducted by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
Training and Support:
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff on NDIS compliance and quality assurance practices.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on compliance-related issues and best practices.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality service delivery within the organisation.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all quality and compliance activities.
- Prepare detailed reports on audit findings, compliance status, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date, organised, and easily accessible for internal and external review.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including NDIS participants, their families, and carers, to gather feedback and ensure service delivery meets their needs and expectations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure integrated and coordinated service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health, Social Services, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality assurance and compliance within the disability sector, preferably with NDIS standards.
- Strong understanding of NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using quality management systems and software.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Working Conditions:
- This is a part-time role.
- This position is hybrid, with occasional travel required for audits and training sessions.
