Role Overview
The Marketing Communications Officer supports Emergent Group and its member companies through a range of marketing and communications activities. Under the direction of the Communications Manager, the role is responsible for preparing and publishing content to support established marketing plans and campaigns and contribute to internal staff communications. Given the technical nature of Emergent Group's products and services, the role requires the ability to interpret and present technical concepts in a clear, accessible and engaging manner.
As the Marketing Communications Officer, your primary focus will be on crafting compelling content that effectively promotes our projects, initiatives, and company culture. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and executing promotion campaigns for Emergent Group products and services utilising a range of paid and unpaid channels.
- Collaborating with different teams to translate technical information into content appropriate for a range of audiences.
- Creating and uploading web and social media content that engages our audience and boosts our online presence.
- Assisting with the preparation of supporting visual content.
- Assistance with other marketing and communication related activities as required.
- Ensure all work is consistent with Emergent Group's brand style guide.
Requirements
Essential
- A degree in Marketing or Communications or related discipline (completed or near completion).
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong technical skills in a range of social media and software platforms used for marketing and communications and/or the ability to learn new software easily.
- An understanding of the principles of Search Engine Optimisation and Conversion Rate Optimisation.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage competing tasks.
Desirable
- Experience working in a technically-focused business environment.
- Ability to interpret website and social media metrics.
- Experience using Wordpress.
- Experience working with LinkedIn company pages and LinkedIn ads.
- Experience publishing content in SharePoint.
