Are you an experienced HR professional ready to take ownership of a role that truly makes a difference? Connected Event Group are technical event production company based in Sydney, and we’re on the lookout for an HR Manager who’s passionate about strategy, culture, and supporting a dynamic team.
This is a permanent, part-time hybrid role with flexibility on how you structure your 20 hours per week - whether it’s condensed into fewer days or spread across the week. However, to build strong relationships with our small, tight-knit team, we do ask for at least one day a week in the office (so ideally, you’ll be Sydney-based).
This is a sole HR position within a small team who truly understand and appreciate the benefits of great HR strategy and practice. Reporting to the General Manager, this role will be instrumental in providing HR support and advice in a growing and dynamic business environment.

What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a similar HR role, ideally with Award environment knowledge.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- A passion for people, relationship-building, and becoming the go-to HR expert.
- Strong knowledge of HR strategy, employment law, and cultural initiatives.
- An "ownership mentality" to juggle multiple priorities and projects.
- A collaborative, can-do attitude - happy to pitch in where needed.
- A sense of humour to thrive in our fun, banter-filled environment!
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day HR support and advice to ensure best practices align with our values.
- Collaborate with the GM to design and implement an effective HR strategy balancing people and business goals.
- Manage the entire employee lifecycle: onboarding, development, performance management, and offboarding.
- Advise on award requirements and legislative updates.
- Own and promote WHS processes.
- Update policies, implement cultural initiatives, and relaunch our performance management program.
- Develop a staff training and development program.
- Oversee outsourced payroll and act as the primary HR contact for all queries.
- Support the GM on various projects and initiatives.
